For over 69 remarkable years, the Te Kauwhata A&P Show has stood tall on the local calendar, embodying the rich tradition of New Zealand's agricultural and pastoral industry.

Established in 1954, our show has evolved with the times, growing in scale and charm year after year. Governed by the passionate members of our community who form the backbone of the Te Kauwhata A&P Association, this event has become a vibrant celebration that attracts more than 3000 visitors annually, both locally and from all corners of our beautiful country.
 

At the Te Kauwhata A&P Show, we honor New Zealand's agricultural legacy while embracing the spirit of unity and friendly competition. Equestrian riders gracefully compete, showcasing their skills alongside dedicated farmers who proudly display their animals. Meanwhile, the talents of our young and old community members shine through in baking, craft, and photography competitions, highlighting the diverse talents that make our town unique.
 

Our show is more than just a gathering; it's a place where all ages can come together and revel in the essence of the day. From the bustling market and trade stalls to exhilarating amusement rides, stage performances, and Strongman Highland games, there's never a dull moment on our top field.

Families can delight in the enchanting Lil Boo Peep Barnyard, and Pop puzzles and games, witness thrilling demonstrations by the TK Fire Brigade, and admire the creativity of our community members in indoor competitions like the Toi Ako photography competition and ever popular annual Snail Race.
And let’s not forget the first-ever EAT ST FOOD FESTIVAL, a tantalizing addition to our show featuring over 15 diverse food trucks catering to every taste.
 

In the heart of our community, the Te Kauwhata Community Garden plays host to the Young People's Potato growing competition, a testament to our commitment to nurturing the talents of the future generation.
